Year 5 spent Thursday May 2nd at St Blaise Church. The purpose of the day was to understand how the church fits into the community. We were also asked to review the church and offer suggestions about ways it could attract young people. Mrs Leach also chaired our school worship council meeting. Next year as year six we will take a lead with worship, this gave us an opportunity to put forward our ideas and help to shape worship. Reverend Phil showed us around the church on a behind the scenes tour – we learnt about the workings of the church and thought about how the building tells us about the history.
