Woodlands – Day 3

Another fantastic day of activities for everyone; caving, high ropes and climbing.

Two of the groups took part in the high ropes course, zip wire and climbing wall. It was amazing to see how the children have increased in confidence as they tackled the challenges of the different activities.  They all worked to support and encourage each other and to celebrate each others successes.

The other two groups went caving and it was superb to see just how well they rose to the challenge at taking turns in leading.  They supported and encouraged each other throughout the day as the crawled and scrambled through different parts of the caves, posted each other through the letterbox and got their wellies filled up with water.  They all returned filthy, tired and extremely proud and happy of what they had achieved today.

After a delicious roast dinner the children went outside the evening to do an orienteering course around the grounds – another chance to use their torches.  They are now all snuggled up in bed, hopefully soon to be asleep ready for tomorrows activities.
