Woodlands – Day 2

We have all had an amazing day of activities where everyone has been challenged to try new activities and take themselves out of their comfort zone.

Two of the groups went canoeing and had a brilliant day paddling down the canal – they even got to “limbo canoe” under some low bridges.  Zarah fell in but did so very elegantly and was soon back in the canoe again paddling away!

The other two groups were climbing and tackling the high ropes course.  This really challenged us to follow instructions and support and help each other whilst being higher than some of us had ever been before.  The children set themselves personal targets to achieve in height on the climbing wall and then tackled the tree top assault course.  They walked along wire ropes, balance beams and rope bridges all up in the trees as well as using a zip wire to get between two of the trees!

Everyone has now had a shower – yes really!  Tea has been devoured and we are now about to go back outside for the evening activities which much to their delight means they get to use their torches again.
