The whole school were lucky enough to go and visit the archaeological dig taking place on the fields behind the school. Each class got to go and explore the site whilst wearing hard hats and our new jackets; speak to the archaeologists and find out about what their job involves and see some of the finds that they had discovered. It was really interesting and the children were amazed by the size of the holes they were exploring, they found out that you had to be very patient and careful when uncovering finds. They saw lots of examples of bones and pottery and even got to hold some of the finds.
