We have been learning about Viking Shields, how they were made and looking at the different designs on them. We were amazed to learn that most Vikings would go into battle with just a shield to protect and defend themselves with. Each of us designed our own shield and then used these to create our own shield which we added onto the Viking Ship in class. Afterwards we evaluated our designs, most people decided that creating circular shields was a lot harder than they thought it would be!
