Performance poetry

Beech Class had a successful end to the half term with performance poetry. After delving into the a lighthouse painting and creating examples of onomatopoeia, the children produced a whole-class poem focusing on rhythm. Their final rhythmic piece was put to music, using instruments of their choice!

 

 

They loved the opportunity to freely explore the instruments and creating sounds to reflect the weather and mood of the painting. They very much looked forward to performing them to each other.
