BoBS work together alongside the school and the parents to raise money for equipment, resources and events that are unaffordable within the school budget. The funds also contribute to making school trips more affordable such as the Christmas theatre trip and contributes to the leavers gifts and book bags for the new starters in Oak Class.
BoBS is made up of parents who volunteer their time to organise and plan the fundraising events that involve the children and the school community, and it plays an important role in supporting the school. Past fundraising events have included discos, after school cake and ice cream sales, non-school uniform days, second hand uniform sales, a money train and our tombola stand at the school Christmas fair. All of which have helped raise our £2000 target to install new climbing equipment in the playground.
Our annual stand at the village fair helps promote the school to the wider community and gets the school community working together outside of the school. Each year our Mother’s Day tea and Father’s Day breakfast are always a highlight and enjoyed by all and in turn adds to our ongoing fundraising targets.
The BoBS team is currently made up of Hayley Myers as Chair, Louise Froud as Treasurer , Liz Cruse, Claire Dawson, Katy McManus, Tracey Joyce, Claire Windsor, Sam Argent as committee members.
We are always looking for fresh ideas, an extra pair of hands and support throughout the year and would welcome anyone who would like to join us.
We meet once every half term and we welcome anyone who would like to attend the meetings.
Next meeting – TBC.
