MP visits St Blaise

On Friday 11th March David Johnston our MP came to St Blaise.  Mr Johnston was keen to see the new building and changes that have been made to our school. He toured the classes, Oak class were very pleased to see him – he was very popular!  After visiting all of the classes he joined Oak and Poplar for lunch.  He was very impressed with the food on offer.  He enjoyed fish and chips and great conversation.

After lunch, Rhea, Jacob, Charlotte and Tyler asked him lots of questions. They quizzed him about over development and the use of green fields.  Bus passes – they wanted to know why children have to pay for their education.  They also had a very interesting conversation about the Ukrainian refugees and the war.  Mr Johnston was very impressed with the children’s detailed knowledge of the events, determined style and engaging approach. He is looking forward to a return visit!
