Methodist Harvest Lunch – Maple Class

Supporting our community – Harvest celebrations at Milton Methodist Church 2/10/18

Today members of Maple class helped at the Harvest lunch at St Blaise Methodist church. Mary and her helpers had prepared a delicious lunch of ham, salads and Jacket potatoes.  We helped serve the lunch to 36 guests.  We were very busy serving and clearing tables during which time we met lots of new people from the community.  We then enjoyed a meal with everyone – Amelia ate everyone’s tomatoes, she was very happy because she loves them!  We met the new minister – she is going to visit St Blaise soon.  Next it was time to serve crumble and ice-cream after which we had tea and coffee. Alex said that it was “ever so posh!”

After dinner had been cleared away we went into the church to worship. We sang Seeds of Friendship to everyone. Skyla jumped because the speaker fell off the piano !  We were entertained by John and his organs.  The monkey made us laugh.  We had a great afternoon, everyone said that we had been very helpful at lunch and they said that our singing was beautiful.
