Maple Class have been learning about the work of CAP (Christians against Poverty) in supporting people struggling for food, money for heating and who may have got into debt because of this. We started by sharing a wonderful book called Grace and the Grumblies – a book written by CAP to support children in understanding about families who are struggling – we talked about how the families would feel and who they could turn to for support.
We were then lucky enough to have a zoom call with Barney who works for CAP – he told us more about the work that they do and the children were able to ask lots of questions. Barney said he was so impressed by the thoughtful questions that the children asked.
