Homeless evening

On Tuesday night in the pouring rain 32 brave souls ventured out to get a taste of what it might feel like to be homeless.   The evening began with creating our homes, some from boxes and most in tents.  Well done to Ash children who were great at pitching tents and very quickly understood how to sort out poles and pegs.

We came inside for soup and bread before returning to our shelters. Although it was great fun to be with friends many children said that they appreciated they could now go home to their baths and beds!

The event raised £112 for the soup kitchen in Cowley. Some of Maple will come and spend a lunchtime helping and see how the money is used.
