Today we held our harvest worship. Maple class have been thinking about our planet and how little land can be used for farming. We considered the inbalance in the world’s harvest and how we all need to play our part in making the world a fairer place. We said prayers of thanks and also prayers to say sorry for the things we get wrong.
The school learnt a song called ‘In the Bin’. The song talks about the 7 million tons of food waste that we create. At school we have been trying to reduce waste with our Food Share Friday Box. People bring food to donate and take the food that they like, this means there is less waste. We now need to work on improving our waste at snack and lunch times.
