We celebrated Harvest at St Blaise firstly by having a service in school led by our Curate Karen. The children shared art work, poems and explained what they had found out about Harvest celebrations around the world. Maple Class had been learning about the charity Water Aid and the work that it does and shared this with the school. We then thought about all the foods that we have, even those we may not like and gave thanks to God for these and for how much we have; thinking also about those around the world who are not as fortunate as we are.
During the day at school the children made vegetable soup, bread and apple crumble which we then shared with the parents in the evening at our Harvest Supper. All money from this will go to Water Aid to support their work.
