On Thursday 29th June, several members of Maple Class had the chance to talk with Councillor Liz Brighouse. She is the Deputy Leader of Oxfordshire County Council. It was great fun and gave us the opportunity to ask questions around issues that we cared about; as well as finding our more about what her job involves. Liz Brighouse was really honest with us in her answers to questions about SATS, bus passes for secondary school, housing, the environment and how to support families who are struggling financially. We thought that her answers showed great understanding and that she really does care about young people and support the work that the schools are doing.
