Day of the Dead in Willow Class

Friday 2nd November was the ‘Day of the Dead’ in many countries including Brazil and especially Mexico. In Willow Class we learned all about this joyful and happy celebration and made a ‘Day of the Dead’ shrine in class.

We included drinks, skeleton figures of happy people, candles to guide the spirits, salt to keep away evil spirits and plenty of flowers of our own creation. The children choose First World War Soldiers to be our photos as this fits with our learning about the First World War marking 100 years since the end of the war.
