In Maple Class we built scale models of the solar system using different sized objects to represent the planets and toilet roll!! We used each sheet of toilet roll to represent 20 million km from the sun and then worked out how many sheets between each planet. We used objects from mustard seeds to watermelons to represent the different planets and had great fun constructing our models.
