Coding Workshop – Maple Class

On the 4th February, Maple class had the opportunity to code robots using an app called Python. Science Oxford came to school with the rover-like robots and we learnt how to type up different codes on the laptops to change the face on the chip. To get a face or picture on the chip we had to put a code word in brackets. We then took the chip and connected them to the robots, my partner and I had a faulty robot but managed to get it to work anyway! You could set the robots commands like directions and spinning around as well as the length of time they do the command for. We were set 4 different challenges, Joshua and I managed to successfully complete 3 of them! We all had great fun!
