Building Mars Rovers in Maple

We have been learning about the Mars Rover Curiosity in Maple – how it was built and how they got it to land on Mars.  As part of this we designed and built our own models of Curiosity.  This involved us measuring and sawing the different lengths of wood which we joined with glue guns, adding our own axles and wheel bases to the models and even thinking about the cameras to record.  Some of the models were even wired up with moving satellite dishes.  Everyone enjoyed making these and learnt the importance of accuracy in their work!
