On March 6th Jocelyn led worship. We learnt about Shrove Tuesday and Ash Wednesday. We explored the story of Jesus spending 40 days in the Judean desert.
We found out that the desert is not sand but rock.
Jesus was tempted 3 times by the devil but didn’t give into temptation.
Ash Wednesday is a time to test yourself, some people give up things. Christians spend time thinking about God. In churches people have an ash cross put on their forehead. We had crosses on our hands.
The ash is made from burnt palm crosses from the previous year.
