Ash at the Synagogue

posted in: Ash Class News 0

On Thursday 15th June Ash class visited the Oxford Synagogue.  The trip gave the children first hand opportunities to see the bulding, find out about the uses of a synagogue. They were able to see many festival artefacts and things that are crucial to Jewish worship.

The children were stunned by the beuaty of the Torah scrolls in the Ark.  Theo and Snowee pulled back the doors to reveal them.

Our speaker – Ruth was very impressed with the conduct of the children, the knowledge they had and the deep questions they asked her about her own faith.
