Caroline Darling

Parent Governor, Term of Office Ends 11th January 2019

As my title suggests, I am the parent of two children whom currently attend the school. My role involves contributing to both the school’s success and all the children’s wellbeing by working with staff and governors, other parents and the wider community to achieve common goals which benefit the school and surrounding area.

Prior to becoming a governor, I previously held the role of Chair of the Red Dragon Pre-School, which is independent of the school but utilises the same premises and is a natural feeder for the school’s intake.  Whilst you are most likely to see me around the school, we are a very outdoor orientated family, so you are equally likely to bump into us all, in one of the nearby villages either on foot or on our bikes, no matter what the weather!

Other areas of responsibility

Lead Community Engagement governor.

Linda Shatford

I was head teacher of Milton C of E, now St Blaise, from 2000 to 2007. In 2011 I came to visit colleagues at the invitation of the then acting headteacher Ruth Leach and am now, once again, very much part of the School family. As an associate member of the governing body I support the School in much the same way as other governors; additionally I am able to offer my expertise from many years in education- as a teacher, head teacher and Ofsted inspector.  I have a strong connection to the area having grown up in Steventon. This is perhaps where my passion for the survival and success of small schools stem, as I attended the village school

I have lived in Didcot since moving to Oxfordshire in 1999. I grew up in neighbouring Wiltshire, in Royal Wootton Bassett. Oh, and I also have 3 Chickens (Bess, Bella and Meryl)

I work for Oxfordshire County Council, in the capacity as a Project Leader. I have worked for OCC since 2009. I manage two Day Services for adults with learning disabilities (Wantage and Abingdon).
