BOBS is an important part of supporting the school. Parents and volunteers raise funds each year, which directly benefit the children and their education. These funds cover costs and items that are unaffordable in the school budget. Recently, new IT equipment and reading resources have been purchased, which all the children can access. The funding also helps in other less obvious ways, such as making trips affordable, namely the Christmas Pantomime, and contributes towards leavers’ presents.
BOBS organise a wide range of different activities, throughout the year, such as non-uniform days, cake sales and termly discos. Also, the Christmas and Summer events are open to the wider community. Lastly Bags2school is a great idea, in which you can bag and donate unwanted good quality clothing. The more bags we fill, the more money we raise, as we are paid by weight.
The committee members are Hayley Myers (Chair), Louise Froud (Treasurer) and Gemma Moyes (Secretary) and they would all be very happy to chat to anyone interested in helping. Hayley’s e-mail address is firstname.lastname@example.org Being involved with BOBS is a fantastic way to contribute ideas, support the school community, and meet other people. Even if you can only spare the odd hour, every now and then, it would be hugely appreciated. The more people involved, the more funds we can raise for the children.
Dear Parents this year BOBS (Buddies Of Blaise School) have been raising funds for a climbing next for the new playground – the £2,000 target has been reached. We are now going to be fundraising for additional playground equipment this year including seating areas and shelters. BOBs need your help supporting events and also coming along and helping – please speak to Hayley, Louise, Sam, Caroline or Liz if you can help.
