St Blaise is a good school (Ofsted 2014) where children are happy and excited about their learning.  The children said that they would change absolutely nothing about the school. However, we do need a new teaching assistant to join our dedicated, friendly and supportive team!  As a Church of England (controlled) school our Christian values underpin all that we do, so that we can achieve together.

We are a small rural school with 74 children currently on roll. This is an exciting time to join St Blaise, as we enter into a period of school expansion. We are proud of our school and all who work and learn here.  Your contribution and commitment will be part of our future.

This post is to work under the instruction and guidance of teachers to enable access to learning for small groups of children, to support children with special needs individually and in small groups in Key Stage 1.

We are looking for someone who has

*             creativity and flair

*             enthusiasm, energy and commitment

*             good communication and interpersonal skills

*             a good sense of humour

*             the ability to relate well to children and adults, and to work without supervision;

*             good IT skills

*             good literacy and numeracy skills, and a willingness to learn

*             ability to work as a member of a team

*             good organisational skills

*             an enjoyment of outdoor learning

Our school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, and all appointments are subject to satisfactory pre-employment checks, including an enhanced DBS check.  Applicants are required to declare any convictions, cautions, reprimands or final warnings that are not “protected” as defined by the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (as amended in 2013).

Application forms are available to download from this website or by contacting Caroline Bradbury in the school office.  Please note all applications must be on an Oxfordshire County Council application form and that CV applications cannot be accepted.  Applications should be sent to the School Office by post or email.
