Healthy Living role play area

In our role play area we have a Healthy Living Cafe and shop which has been designed and made by the children; they’ve made signs, posters, menus and set it up as they like.  This week, the children have been learning to write shopping lists.

Maths reasoning – Sort Them Out

Poplar have been using their reasoning skills to solve addition and subtraction number sentences in groups and then sort the answers.  https://nrich.maths.org/6885 For example, one group sorted by more than or fewer than 20. I was so impressed by the teamwork and leadership skills shown by the children as well as their maths skills.
